The Team is fortunate to own several state of the art facilities which enables us to train at the highest level of competition year round.
The Michigan Rowing Boathouse is located in Bandemer Park, about 1.5 miles north of the University of Michigan central campus. We have 3,000 meters of rowable water located on Argo Pond, a dammed section of the Huron River. The boathouse is about a 10 minute run or bike from central campus.
In 2018, the Men’s Rowing Team moved off campus into an indoor training facility located on Longshore Drive with the support of its alumni and the Michigan Rowing Association (MRA). In 2023, MRA was able to secure the second floor of 1250 North Main Street to serve as the team's new indoor training facility. This 7000 square foot facility will house over 75 ergometers for the team to train on, as well as team locker rooms, coaching staff offices, full wall mirrors, and a Swingulator rowing-simulator.
